TITMAN, Dewitt Clinton, a Representative from Susquehanna County; born, July 15, 1844 in Warren County, NJ; private, Company C, 203rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; engaged, woolen merchant; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1888 and 1890; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); owner, D.C. Titman & Son, furniture and undertaking business; died, July 21, 1918 in Montrose, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
