THOMPSON, Josiah M., a Representative from Butler County; born, April 20, 1840 in Brady Township, Butler County, Pa.; graduated, Sunbury High School; teacher (3 years); farmer; engaged, oil production; elected, justice of the peace, Brady Township (15 years); school director, Brady Township; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1887 and 1891 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1888, 1892); died, August 5, 1922 in the city of Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma; interred, Rose Hill Memorial Park, Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.
