SMITH, James, a Representative from Northampton County; born, December 23, 1829 in County Meath, Ireland; stone mason; railroad contractor; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1890; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); died, August 24, 1914 in Spring Lake, Monmouth County, New Jersey; interred, Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
