HASAY, George C., a Representative from Columbia, Luzerne and Wyoming Counties; born in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, Pa., February 7, 1948; graduated, Northwest Area High School; attended, Morehead State University; graduated, Wilkes-Barre Business College, 1968; graduated, Husson College, 1971; salesman and manager, Hasay Chevrolet, Inc.; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1973 term; reelected to serve 16 consecutive terms thereafter, appointed, Select Committee on Information Security (2006); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 2007 term; died, February 8, 2021 in Shickshinny, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mary's Cemetery, Mocanaqua, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
