QUAY, Richard Robert, a Representative from Beaver County; born, November 15, 1863 in Beaver, Beaver County, Pa.; attended, Beaver College (now Arcadia University); assistant corporation clerk, Pennsylvania Auditor General’s office (1887-1888); secretary to the chairman, Republican National Committee (1888); secretary, Committee on Transportation and Routes to the Seaboard, United States Senate (1889-1890); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1891 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1904); co-proprietor, Monongahela Tin Place Company; elected, delegate, Progressive Party National Convention (1912); died, January 24, 1936 in Edgeworth, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
