PHILLIPS, Alexander McClain, a Representative from Lawrence County; born, August 22, 1844 in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, Pa.; attended, Westminster College; private, Company B, 100th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1891 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1893 term; died, August 28, 1907 in New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery, New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
