MORRISON, John Howard, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, February 23, 1859 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduate, University of Pennsylvania, 1882; tin smith; attorney-at-law; elected, president, Republican Executive Committee, 23rd Ward; elected, solicitor, directors of the poor, Oxford and Lower Dublin, Philadelphia; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1890; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1892, 1894).
