MISSIMER, Samuel D., a Representative from Berks County; born, December 18, 1848 in Reading, Berks County, Pa.; locomotive machinist, Pennsylvania and Reading Railroad Company, Reading; elected, city council, Reading (1887-1889; president, 1888-1889); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1888 and 1890; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); appointed, superintendent, Metropolitan Electric Company (1894-1899); general superintendent, United Power and Transportation Company (1900-1903); died, May 28, 1903 in Springmont, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
