(1885-1889); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1888 and 1890; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1894); died, May 8, 1921 in Hamilton, Monroe County, Pennsylvania; interred, Stroudsburg Cemetery, Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
