KUTZ, Cyrenius W., a Representative from Berks County; born, March 12, 1849 in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Pa.; attended, Wyoming Seminary; attended, Keystone State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania); farmer; proprietor, general store; agent, Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Company; postmaster, United States Postal Service (1875-1878); engaged, iron ore mining and shipping; general manager, Laurel Hill Lumber Co.; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1888 and 1890; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); engaged, coal industry; justice of the peace, Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County; appointed, burgess, Turkeyfoot Township; died, May 16, 1916 in Ursina, Somerset County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hope Cemetery, Kutztown, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
