CRAWFORD, John Calvin, a Representative from Juniata County; born in Tuscarora, Juniata County, Pa., March 25, 1838; educated in the common schools; engaged, mercantile business; postmaster, United States Postal Service (15 years); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1891 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); died, January 16, 1897 in Reed’s Gap, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, McCoysville Cemetery, McCoysville, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
