BOYER, David Allen, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, December 29, 1843 in Palmyra, Lebanon County, Pa.; attended, Palmyra Academy; attended, Annville Academy (now Lebanon Valley College); private, Companies C and G, 18th Regiment, United States Army (1862-1864, Civil War); school teacher (1861-1884); justice of the peace (1876-1891); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1888; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1890); merchant; died, December 12, 1911 in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Hanover Presbyterian Churchyard, Grantville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
