TOOL, Edward William, a Representative from Snyder County; born, June 28, 1851 in Stapleton, Staten Island, NY; attended, Missionary Institute (Susquehanna University); graduated, Baltimore College of Physicians and Surgeons, 1881; slate picker and driver, Empire Breaker and Mine; engaged in the trade of moulding; teacher (5 years); physician (44 years); elected, coroner, Snyder County (1 term); chair, Snyder County Republican Committee (1886-1889); vice president, Freeburg Academy (1889-1890); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1891 and 1893 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1895 term; died, March 13, 1926 in Selinsgrove, Snyder County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fair View Cemetery, Freeburg, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
