STEWART, Samuel E., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 30, 1856 in Allegheny City (now Pittsburgh), Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Washington and Jefferson College, 1879; farmer; attorney-at-law (1880-1895); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1886; reelected to the House for 3 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); died, August 27, 1895 in Verona, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
