KEPPEL, Samuel B., a Representative from Berks County, born, December 10, 1846 in Honeybrook Township, Chester County, Pa.; attended, Waynesburg Academy; attended, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); teacher (6 years); telegrapher and clerk, Moselem Furnace (5 years); engaged, coal, lumber, and grain business; director, Citizen’s Bank, Reading; contractor and builder; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1890 and 1892; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); president, Reading and Womelsdorf Electric Railway; director; Colonial Trust Company; director, Second National Bank, Reading; secretary and treasurer, Sinking Spring Water Company; president, Sinking Spring Foundry Company; proprietor, Bell Alto Hotel; died, April 18, 1903 in Sinking Spring, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Sinking Spring Cemetery, Sinking Spring, Berks County, Pennsylvania
