HOCKLEY, Irvin Keyser, a Representative from Cameron County; born, December 27, 1852 in Reading, Berks County, Pa.; teacher (16 years); principal, Emporium High School (1875-1887); deputy sheriff, Cameron County (1885); engaged, mercantile business (1886-1890); engaged, coal business; treasurer, Emporium Board of Trade (3 years); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania State Democratic Convention (1890); chair, Cameron County Democratic Committee (1891-1892); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1893 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1908); died, April 8, 1925 in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Watsontown Cemetery, Watsontown, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
