HERSHEY, Dr. Martin Landis, a Representative from Dauphin County, born, April 1, 1857 in Derry Church, Dauphin County, Pa.; attended, Lebanon Valley College; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1883; farmer; teacher (4 years); physician; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1890 and 1892; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Hershey (1907-1914); died, November 10, 1922 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hershey Cemetery, Hershey, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
