FRETZ, Dr. Oliver Henry, a Representative from Bucks County; born, April 9, 1858 in Richland Township, Bucks County, Pa.; attended, Oak Grove Academy, Quakertown; attended, Muhlenberg College; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1882; graduated, Philadelphia Polyclinic and College for Graduates in Medicine, 1886; Ph.G., National Institute of Pharmacy, Chicago, 1889; Psy.D., Chicago School of Psychiatry, 1900; Opt. D., South Bend College of Optics, 1905; honorary masters of arts degree, Ursinus College, 1893; physician; engaged, drug business; elected, school board, Quakertown (1886-1892); elected, borough physician, Quakertown (1888-1900); elected, vice president, Bucks County School Directors’ Association (1890-1891); elected, Bucks County Democratic Conventions; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1890 and 1892; appointed, Pennsylvania Election Commission (1893-1894); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); died, September 27, 1928 in Quakertown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Trinity Great Swamp UCC Cemetery, Spinnerstown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
