DUBS, Daniel S., a Representative from  York County; born, October 26, 1854 in Manheim Township, York County, Pa.; attended, Glen Rock Academy; teacher (49 years); appointed, congressional referee by Congressman Levi Maish (1885); member, examining committee for cadets, Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. (1887); engaged in real estate and mercantile business; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1890 and 1892; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1914); died, January 20, 1924 in Heidelberg Township, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Dubs’ Union Church Cemetery, Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania.
