BURRITT, Philo, a Representative from Susquehanna County; born, April 11, 1840 in Union Dale, Susquehanna County, Pa.; attended, Wyoming Seminary; served, commissary department, United States Navy, Newport News, Va. (Civil War); teacher; elected, school director; farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1890 and 1892; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); died, December 24, 1918 in Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rounds Cemetery, Union Dale, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
