YOUNG, James Leslie, a Representative from Cumberland County; born in Washington, DC, May 3, 1867; graduated, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania), 1887; teacher; lawyer; gubernatorial appointee, justice of the peace, 4th Ward, Mechanicsburg (1891); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1897 term; died, March 15, 1955 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
