WILSON, Matthew McLanahan, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 9, 1831 in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pa.; captain, Company D, 159th Regiment, 14th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry (1862-1865, Civil War); farmer; livery business; elected, school director, assessor and burgess, Homestead; elected as Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1893 and 1895 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1897 term; died, April 27, 1909 in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
