WEYAND, Jacob, a Representative from Beaver County; born, March 22, 1828 in Mount Jackson, Lawrence County, Pa.; attended, Beaver Academy; captain, Company F, 126th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry (1862-1864, Civil War); associate editor, Argus Paper, Beaver (1854-1857; 1865-1879); elected, delegate, National Republican Convention (1856); editor, Free Press, Carrollton, Oh. (1857-1861); publisher and editor, The Beaver Falls Tribune (1880-1882); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1893 and 1895 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1896); died, February 28, 1913 in Beaver Falls, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
