RUTLEDGE, William H., a Representative from Luzerne County; born, March 25, 1858 in Pittston, Luzerne County, Pa.; attended, Wyoming Seminary; telegraph operator; agent, Central Railroad of New Jersey; agent, Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Company; agent, Delaware & Hudson Railway; agent, Erie and Wyoming Valley Railroad; trustee, Pittston Hospital Association; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1894; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1896); proprietor, Franklin Mill, cotton tape manufacturer; died, January 24, 1916 in Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. John’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Freeland, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
