MARTIN, Jacob Harold, a Representative from Clarion County; born, May 1, 1844 in Ashland Township, Clarion County, Pa.; attended, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro); private, Battery E, 212nd Regiment, 6th Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; engaged, oil business; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1897 term; died, June 10, 1923 in Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
