HARSHAW, William John, a Representative from Mercer County; born in Greenville, Mercer County, Pa., March 7, 1841; attended, Jamestown Seminary; corporal, Company F, 83rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1862, Civil War); merchant; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1891 term; reelected to the House to the 1895 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1893 or 1897 terms; elected, council, Grove City; director, First National Bank of Grove City; member, board of directors, Grove City Savings & Trust Co.; real estate agent; insurance agent; died, August 11, 1908 in El Paso County, Colorado; interred, Woodland Cemetery, Grove City, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
