COLLINS, Emerson, a Representative from Lycoming County; born, April 30, 1860 in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pa.; attended, Lycoming Normal School; graduated, cum laude, history, Lafayette College, 1884; LL.B., Juniata College, 1925; teacher and principal, Lycoming Normal School (1885-1886); attorney (1887-1927); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1894; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1896); deputy attorney general, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General (1915-1923); elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1916); commissioner, Public Service Commission (1927-1932); died, October 10, 1933 in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Muncy Cemetery, Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
