BIDDLE, Jacob Sydney, a Representative from Bedford County; born, February 12, 1844 in Loysburg, Bedford County, Pa.; served, Company I, 194th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864, Civil War); served, Company M, 185th Regiment, 22nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Calvary (1865, Civil War); teacher; school director; engaged, mercantile business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1896); farmer; died, April 5, 1919 in Loysburg, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Loysburg Hill Cemetery, Loysburg, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
