AMES, Charles Dudley, a Representative from Clearfield County; born, July 26, 1870 in Kylertown, Clearfield County, Pa.; graduated, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro); attended, University of Lebanon, Oh., 1887; attended, National School of Pharmacy, Chicago, 1892; traveling salesman; engaged, insurance business; employed, Raftsman’s Journal, Clearfield; secretary, Clearfield County Republican Committee (1890-1891); proprietor, drug store; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 term; appointed, Committee to  attend the International Cotton Exposition; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1896); engaged, coal business; president, International Coal Corporation; died, March 6, 1933 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
