GRAY, William, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 16, 1912 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, South Philadelphia High School; attended, University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School; transportation broker; deputy sheriff, Philadelphia County (1952-1960); secretary, 36th Ward Democratic Executive Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election on April 26, 1960 to serve the remaining 1959 term; reelected to 2 more consecutive terms; died while in office, December 26, 1963 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
