CAMPBELL, James Clark, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born April 19, 1836 in Walls, Allegheny County, Pa.; laborer, Pennsylvania Canal (summers, 1849-1854); laborer, rolling mills (winters, 1849-1854); brakeman (1855-1856), conductor (1857-1860) and yard master (1861-1891), Pennsylvania Railroad; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1897 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1899 term; died, August 14, 1928 in Mount Lebanon, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Unity Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
