SCHRINK, Augustus Christian, “Gus,” a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, May 1, 1856 in Newark, Essex County, NJ; engaged, printing business; supervisor, Pottsville Benevolent Association; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1894 and 1896; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898); elected, school director, Pottsville (1895-1901); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Pottsville (1899-1909); appointed, sergeant-at-arms, Republican National Convention (1900, 1908); died, September 20, 1918 in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
