CORYELL, James Bingham, a Representative from Lycoming County; born, September 4, 1856 in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pa.; attended, Protestant Episcopal Academy, Cheshire, Ct.; attended, Cheshire Military Academy, Ct.; graduated, Lehigh University, 1876; colonel and commander, Twelfth Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1881-1901, Spanish-American War); colonel, Sixth Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1902-1909); lawyer (1880-1902); elected, District Attorney, Lycoming County (1886-1890); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898); president, Cambria Coal Mining Company, Short Line Coal Company and Cook Coal and Coke Company; president, Lycoming National Bank; died, February 7, 1924 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
