MAPEL, John Adam, a Representative from Greene County; born, December 6, 1849 in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pa.; attended, Waynesburg College; teacher; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 and 1897 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1899 term; died, May 13, 1918 in Cambridge Springs, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruff Creek, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
