BERNHARDT, Dallas, a Representative from Fulton County; born, September 20, 1856 in Heidelberg Township, York County, Pa.; M.D., College of Physicians and Surgeons, Baltimore, 1885; teacher (7 years); physician (5 years); engaged in breeding trotting horses and other high grade livestock; elected, delegate, Democratic County Convention (1892); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in a Special Election on March 2, 1897 to serve the remaining 1897 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898); died, March 30, 1903 in Three Springs, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Three Springs Cemetery, Three Springs, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
