HOPWOOD, George, a Representative from Fayette County; born, August 24, 1845 in South Union Township, Fayette County, Pa.; attended, Madison College; farmer; school director (10 years); member, State Board of Agriculture (10 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 and 1897 terms; died while in office, September 13, 1898 in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
