MOORE, Daniel Foulke, a Representative from Chester County; born, July 24, 1841 in Upper Merion Township, Chester County, Pa.; private, Company E, 128th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); private, Company D, 31st Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1864, Civil War); telegraph operator, Reading Railroad Company (1862, 1863-1870); partner, Caswell & Moore, stove, tin, and roofing business; appointed, assistant adjutant general, staff of General J.R. Dobson, National Guard of Pennsylvania (1871); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1892, 1894, and 1896; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898); died, January 1, 1919 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Valley Friends Meeting Burial Ground, Wayne, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
