PATTERSON, James, a Representative from Bucks County; born, June 19, 1843 in Wrightstown Township, Bucks County, Pa.; graduated, School of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Trenton, NJ, 1878; private, Company H, 65th Regiment, 5th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; veterinarian; elected, school director, Bristol, Pa.; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1894 and 1896; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898); assistant deputy collector, United States Internal Revenue Service; died, April 25, 1914 in Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bristol Cemetery, Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
