LUDEN, Edward M., a Representative from Berks County; born, November 9, 1854 in Reading, Berks County, Pa.; police sergeant, Reading (3 years); clerk, United States Postal Service, Reading (3 years); member, Reading fire department; real estate assessor (12 years); engaged, cigar and tobacco manufacturing business; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1894 and 1896; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898); sales, candy manufacturing business; died, March 15, 1920 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
