KERKESLAGER, Milton W., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill County, Pa., April 24, 1859; woolen weaver; loom boss, Seville, Schofield & Co., wool mill (1876 -1888); proprietor, men’s clothing store (1888-1893); proprietor, M. W. Kerkeslager & Company, oil refiners (1894-1913); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1895 and 1897 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898); died, August 28, 1913 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
