SEIDEL, John Harper, a Representative from Perry County; born in Robeson Township, Berks County, Pa., January 6, 1851; manufacturer, charcoal iron blooms (1868-1889); engaged in the lumber industry; farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1897 and 1899 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); banker; died, May 7, 1914 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
