SCHOFFSTALL, Henry William, a Representative from Northumberland County; born, August 26, 1854 in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pa.; attended, Berrysburg Seminary; teacher; locomotive engineer, Pennsylvania Railroad Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1898; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1900); engaged, mercantile business; deputy collector, fifth division, twelfth district, Internal Revenue Service (1904-1914); died, October 15, 1931 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
