SEXTON, Jason, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, September 21, 1834 in Sharon, Schoharie County, NY; private, 44th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry (1862, Civil War); lieutenant, Company E, 175th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry (1864, Civil War); farmer; elected, school board president, North Wales; member, State Board of Agriculture; director, North Wales National Bank; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1896 and 1898; unsuccessful campaign for reelection (1900, 1902); inspector, State Highway Department; died, May 30, 1910 in North Wales, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
