CALDWELL, George H., a Representative from Mercer County; born, December 9, 1845 in Deer Creek Township, Mercer County, Pa.; private, Company I, 61st Regiment and Company H, 55th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry (Civil War); carpenter; bridge builder; steward, Mercer County Alms House (1886-1890); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1890); farmer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican for the 1899 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); died, May 14, 1914 in Deer Creek Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio.
