FISHER, Dr. Alfred Joseph, a Representative from Juniata County; born in Paxton Township, Dauphin County, Pa., February 2, 1830; attended, Marshall College; M.D., University of Philadelphia, 1852; tanner (2 years); physician; elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1872); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1876); school director, Fayette Township; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1899 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); died, December 31, 1906 in McAlisterville, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
