RENDALL, Rev. John Ballard, a Representative from Chester County; born, April 5, 1847 in Madura, India; graduated, Utica Academy, 1866; graduated, Princeton University, 1870; ordained, Presbytery of Chester (1876); principal, preparatory department, Lincoln University (1870); Latin professor, Lincoln University; secretary, Presbytery of Chester (1894); president, Lincoln University (1906-1924); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a member of the Fusion Party in 1898; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1900); trustee, Wilson College; died, September 3, 1924 in Lower Oxford, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
