JEFFERIS, Plummer E., a Representative from Chester County; born, December 27, 1851 near Wilmington, New Castle County, De.; farmer; plumber, carpenter, contractor and builder; trustee, West Chester Building and Loan Association; appointed, fire marshal, West Chester (1895-1896); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1896 and reelected as a member of the Fusion Party in 1898; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); appointed, appraiser, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1904); elected, burgess, West Chester; died, June 6, 1925 in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oakland Cemetery, West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
