STRANAHAN, Chapman A., a Representative from Crawford County; born, October 7, 1849 in Concord, Erie County, Pa.; attended, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1897 and 1899 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1901 term; died, January 19, 1912 in Sparta Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodlawn Cemetery, Spartansburg, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
