SMITH, Sylvester S., a Representative from Cameron County; born, August 12, 1845 in Wilton, Ontario, Canada; graduated, Rush Medical College, 1869; doctor; elected, coroner, Cameron County; associate judge, Cameron County (1891-1896); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1897 and 1899 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); died, November 22, 1911 in Emporium, Cameron County, Pennsylvania; interred, Newton Cemetery, Emporium, Cameron County, Pennsylvania.
