DINDINGER, John, a Representative from Butler County; born, December 26, 1839 in Franklin Township, Beaver County, Pa.; corporal, Company G, 168th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); proprietor, mercantile store ; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Zelienople (1881-1885); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1897 and 1899 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); died, December 17, 1916 in Zelienople, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, English Lutheran Church Cemetery, Zelienople, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
